Fungible Inc., the dynamic composable infrastructure company, and Speed Computing jointly announced a reseller agreement in the Taiwan market whereby Speed Computing will market, sell, and support the Fungible Storage Cluster® (FSC) NVMe storage systems in addition to third-party products, as part of a total storage solution, addressing the demand for high-performance, high IOPS and low latency workloads.
The Fungible Storage Cluster is built on NVMe over TCP. Not only do all SSD modules use the high-speed NVMe interface, but Fungible also extends this architecture using existing Ethernet accelerated by a purpose-built data processing unit (DPU). By combining NVMe-over-Fabrics (NVMe-oF) with the TCP protocol, migration effort and expense are minimized. The Fungible Data Processing Unit, Fungible DPU® also offloads CPUs from heavy data and network services processing, allowing CPU resources to be reserved for applications enabling potential server consolidation while significantly improving overall storage performance and efficiency.
